I am a Harry Potter fan. So taking this picture was quite special for me. Funny story behind this picture. So I was on a Scotland tour on the back of a Harley Davidson trike driven by my brother in law and my father in law was leading the way on his bike. Because their is so much to see in Scotland my DJI Mini 2 was firing all pistons all over the shop as seen in the Photographics gallery. Anyway, despite having 3 batteries on me I only had 1 battery left with about 35% charge on it (Porbably 5 minutes at a serious push 10 minutes flight time). So as I set up, it was a real gamble of when to actually launch the drone up despite the vague time of the steamer passing ( between 3:30 and 3:45 or something). So without warning I got the drone airbourne and positioned for the shot. very quickly my controller starts beeping at 20% and I had to make the choice of landing the drone and missing the shot or wait until it went to 10% or something since I didnt fly it far at all. A serious sweat was on. at 11% I decided it was time to land her. And before I knew it I could see a cloud of steam coming from behind the trees... the preasure was on! So as the steamer was passing I captured the shot and brought the drone down. My heart was in my throat and I didn't get the chance to have a look at the photo because I was that stressed. It ws only that night I realised how good it was. So good infact DJI (The drone manufacturer) featured it as their pic of the day on Twitter saying: @DJIGlobal - "It's not wingardium leviosa, it's the DJI Mini 2 :@GlenCairns3, #POTD" 16:00 31/05/2021. Who said photography was just pressing a button eh!?
